how to execute Acrosync as Admin with a non-Admin-User-login?

I want to execute Acrosync as Admin using non admin user logins, but I cant:

When I install "as admin" it is not visible for the user that was logged in at install time. I think it will be installed here: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Acrosync

So I have to install in a normal way. Then acrosync is installed under C:\Users\NonAdminUser\AppData\Local\Acrosync
and can be executed by the NonAdminUser. But VSS is not possible to enable and some folders needs to be excluded where the NonAdminUser has no access. That's why I want to start Acrosync as Admin.
But when I try to start the Acrosync client "as admin" nothing happens. Of cource I quited the running Acrosync in the task bar before.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to do?

  • I tried it with a non-admin user on Windows 7 and it worked:

Installed Acrosync as prompted without changing the default installation path.

Right clicked the Acrosync shortcut on the desktop; selected 'Run as Administrator'.  A UAC window then popped up, asking for the password to an administrator account.  Typed in the password and then Acrosync showed the VSS option enabled.

  • it was an Anti-Virus-Scanner problem: it was not shown that the program was blocked. Acrosync works fine as admin :-)
