Can't backup files from users folder with onedrive installed

in Acrosync for Windows
Even though I installed the latest acrosync it's still complaining about my onedrive folder.
I have the job setup to skip that folder but it's still complaining about it for some reason:

2019/09/02 23:42:15    Acrosync for windows 1.7 build 611 initialized
2019/09/02 23:42:24    Can't get information about the reparse point 'C:/Users/greg/OneDrive': The file or directory is not a reparse point.

The messagebox however pops up with the error:
Can't get information about the reparse point C:/users/greg

So... not sure why they don't match and not sure how to make my job run properly

    I recently upgraded to Windows 1903 as well.

    This is because 'OneDrive' is a special type of reparse point that is not documented.  Can you exclude this folder?

    I added it to the exclude list but I still get the error

    I also tried to exclude the OneDrive folder but that did not work.

    chkdsk /f /r as was suggested somewhere didn't help either

    This problem makes Acrosync pretty useless :-(

    I'm looking to buy an rsync tool for windows and just trying this tool.  Have the same issue with the OneDrive so tried v1.7.612.  When I start the sync the tool becomes unresponsive; doesn't work for me. 

    I'm running Windows 10 Pro - version 1903, Build 18362.356 - it just updated today.

    Same for me. I updated to 1.7.612 and entered the path to my OneDrive folder in the "Don't sync these files/dirs" and I still get the following error:

    2020/01/04 10:01:01    Can't get information about the reparse point 'D:/Data/OneDrive': The file or directory is not a reparse point.

    @MarkT There could be some files under OneDrive that are online only so Windows needs to download them when you try to access them.

    @adriaanswan  It looks like you're still running the old version from the error message.

    You can sidestep the issue by moving the OneDrive folder away from the home directory.  This helped me.
