Two enhancement requests

Hi,

I'd like to suggest two enhancements.

  1. Add completion notifications. I'd like to receive an email when the job completes either successfully or unsuccessfully. Some people would probably text messages.
  2. There should be a way to signup for new release notifications. It would be nice to know when a new release is posted so you don't have to check the web site all the time.

    1)  I'll think about it.  Maybe plan it for version 1.2.

    2)  I'll add a new category called 'Announcements' and then install an email notification plugin so you can subscribe to this category and receive an email whenever there is a new post or comment in this category.

    Just found out that there is no need to install that email notification plugin.  You can just bookmark the discussions in the Announcements category and also enable email notifications for bookmarked discussions (go to 'Edit Profile', then select 'Notification Preferences', and make sure the 'Email' checkbox is checked for 'Notify me when people comment on my bookmarked discussions').

    I know that in version 1.2 and up there is the ability to run AcroSync from the command line. Therefore people can made a script that runs AcroSync and sends emails. However I still believe that AcroSync should be able to send emails and that it should be able to write to a log file. Remember that not everyone can write scripts. These should be profile specific options and selectable in the GUI.
