schedule jobs not working

I have what appears to be 2 identical Windows server running licenced copies of the latest Acrosync
One works perfectly the other doesn't - Both work fine if you manually kick off the sync

On one I looked in the registry and the 'scheduleflags' said 254 and this machine works perfectly
On the other it say 62 and it does work so I changed it to 254 and restarted the service and it works
if however I go to look at the schedule and save it, it puts it back to 62 and then no longer runs as
scheduled - both machines have the same schedule btw

Any ideas ?

  • 'scheduleflags' is used to indicate the days on which the sync is scheduled to run, so 254 means every day while 62 means weekdays only.

I think the difference between these two machines is probably due to how you installed Acrosync.  For the Acrosync service you'll need to run the install as administrator and then select 'Install for all users' (and you'll also need to run Acrosync as administrator to change the settings).  Then the settings will be stored to HKLM\..., where the service will read from.  Otherwise the settings will go to HKCU\...

  • I looked in the registry and there are only entries in HKLM

  • Can you post a screen shot of the scheduler dialog (that change the flag back to 62)?
  • I have had a look after what you said - yes, the schedule is set for all days with 254 and 62 when it's just weekdays. The problem seems to be that it only works on the scheduler if its set to all days - if I set it to weekdays only it doesn't run.

  • If it runs as a service, make sure that the 'Automatically run this profile on logon' checkbox is checked (corresponds to 'AutoStart' in the registry).  Restart the service may help too.
  • Much, much later I revisited this.

Changing the service to log on a s the domain admin fixes the problem ???
