Error - bash: -c: line 0: syntax error near unexpected token `('

edited October 2014 in Acrosync for Mac
Hi

Using Acrosync on Mac OSX and it has been working fine. I had an automatic update on 10th October to version 1.4 of Acrosync and since then I have the error above when I try starting a service. It happens with all synchronisations I have setup. Error is as below.

Failed to upload '/Volumes/WD 2TB MASTER/MASTER (USE THIS)'
bash: -c: line 0: syntax error near unexpected token `('

Can you tell me how to fix this?

I'm using OSX 10.9.5 on my iMac.

Regards
Dave

  • Sorry about this.   We changed the way the remote path is specified in the command line and obviously it doesn't work with some special characters.

A temporary workaround is to rename the remote directory 'MASTER (USE THIS)'.  If you can't, try to create a symlink to 'MASTER (USE THIS)' and use the symlink instead.

I'll submit a update in a few days.
