sync stops when user logs out

Hi,

I have installed acrosync as a service, defined a job to sync to our NAS box, The main server is only used remotely on a daily basis by an overseas employee using windows remote desktop connection. The issue is that the server also has the raid disks keeping the master database, and others use these disks for database access. The hope was to load acrosync to maintain a copy between the server and the NAS box, and then use the NAS box for the master database.

The issue I have having, has been highlighted before, whereby when not logged in, the job stops, even though it is running as a service. I have tried one of the tweaks mentioned, by setting the autorun to 1 in the registry, and this makes no difference.

Obviously the user from overseas logs in and out, and I need the acrosync job to run all the time, whether the user in logged in or not.

any ideas or help you can offer?

The server is running Windows 7 professional

  • Can you run the service manager (enter services.msc in the Run dialog) to make sure that the service is running?
