Hi,

 

Haven't been here in a while as I've been busy. Wanted to say thanks for adding the email notification. I've been using 1.2 since you released it and it is working well. I have one request. Add an option to the email to only send out a summary and not a detailed email. I don't need to know what was backed up or deleted. I just want to know it failed or succeeded. If I need the detail I'll look at the log file.

How is the server version coming along?

    I think the latest 1.4 version can include the log in the email body.  You may be running a beta version; if so just download the latest installer from our website and reinstall it.

    Or you may want to try this 1.5 build that has fixed many issues in 1.4:

    Decided to push back the work on the rsync server.  This is mainly because Microsoft is working on SSH support that is said to be available early 2016.  This could affect how the rsync server is implemented (for instance, whether to include a built-in SSH server) so I would rather wait and see.

    I installed version 1.5 and there is no option to specify a summary email instead of a detailed one. The log is included in the email body but there should be an option to specify not to include the detail by which I mean the files that were copied or deleted. An email stating that a profile was successful or unsuccessful without the complete file listing would be nice. Something like this:

    Profile DailyBackup completed successfully

    Run time: xx:xx:xx

    xx files were copied

    xx files were deleted

    or

    Profile DailyBackup failed

    This is a good idea, but I don't think it is an essential feature so I'll just add it to the 'maybe' list.
