Can't create hard link - parameter is incorrect

HI, I get this message on windows server 2012 R2 when I try and use the snapshotting option, the local drive is an SMB share (it's a windows azure VM where the smb share is a share to windows azure files storage)

    seems acrosync is dependent upon using hard links for its incremental snapshots, which restrict it to local drives only - no network shares, which is a big drawback - should investigate methods of snapshotting which don't rely on hard links in order to support network drives.

    Yes, hard links are required to create incremental snapshots.  I don't think you can get away without it.
