Would you consider using creation time as well when 'backup original version' option is turned off? or add another option for using creation time?In the context of this app, which is backing up iOS photos, I would argue that the most relevant timest…
Thanks! I do edit my photos quite often after taking them, using the built in editor. Would there be problems if this fix is also applied when "backup original version" is turned off?
Yeah that's a good idea! What will happen with the Photobackup option set to backup the edited version? Will the exif metadata of the edited (rendered) photo of have an updated modification time?
I just tried iOS 10.2, nothing changed. My feeling is this could be a different issue - people in that thread are complaining about camera roll out of order after restoring from backup. In our case, the camera roll is displayed in order on the phone…
Good to know it's not just me :) I was looking into it more closely - it seems that a lot of photos with updated modification times appear in the thumbnails from "Memories" and "Albums" sections within the iPhone Photos app. Those are new features f…
ok. I guess currently PhotoBackup is using iOS modification time when passing it on to remote server. Would it possible to use creation time instead? Or add a toggle switch in options to choose between the two? It seems the photo modification time i…

After removing .photobackup file and try syncing, I got:
Sep 30 01:24:15 iPhone6-2014 PhotoBackup[479] : FATAL RSYNC_ERROR rsync: link_stat "/.photobackup" (in iphone6) failed: No such file or directory (2)
Then,…
By "device log" you mean the app log on iphone? I am not sure where/how to get that log - could you tell me what the procedure is? I'll check and report.
It was the first time I ran the app. I did try removing .photobackup several times, it did the index rebuilding again but didn't find any new files to upload, so it just finished quickly. I greped for the missing files names, they didn't show up in …
