  • Ah.  Sorry  for being stupid. It was actually installed, but there was no way for the Acrosync client (and arguments used) to get to it.

  • Good news: I tried running Rsync to a FreeBSD server (9.2-RELEASE) and it worked without any obvious problems or surprises.  No guarantees, obviously, but it appears to work.
