I believe this error was caused by the connection being closed by the remote server. Can you check the sshd log on the server to see if this is the case?
It looks like UIWebView has been deprecated and now WKWebView should be used instead. I don't know if WKWebView supports utf-8 natively, but if it not, there is a method to load the data and set the encoding.
This will be fixed in the next update b…
You can remove the registry value HKCU\Software\Acrosync\AcrosyncClient\License and then Acrosync should show the activation dialog again.
If you installed Acrosync for all users then remove HKLM\Software\Acrosync\AcrosyncClient\License.
I tried myself, and yes, it got stuck without any progress until it timed out eventually. I need to run more testing to figure out the cause of the issue.
Currently Acrosync retries on a few network errors if it is a scheduled job, but this RSYNC_SOCKET isn't one of them. I can roll out an update maybe next week to add this error to the list.
I suspect this error was caused by the ssh connection closed by the server. Did it happen at the beginning of the sync or in the middle of the sync? Can you check the ssh log on the server to see if there was any error message there?
Not many users asked for that feature. If your files are constantly being changed then I think it is generally better to have the GUI do the auto upload rather than relying on the service running in the background.
The frequency is more of a GUI de…
Yes, the log directory is c:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\AcrosyncClient64 when it runs as a service.
Otherwise you'll need to enable the Log to File option in the Log window and choose a log directory.
Yes, the service is pau…
Not sure if this is issue with the libssh2 library that Acrosync uses. You can try to switch to libssh to see if this issue persists.
To switch to libssh, set the registry value HKCU\Software\Acrosync\AcrosyncClient\UseLibssh to 1 and then restart …
Sorry my mistake. That directory was the default logging directory for earlier versions. For the current version the default directory should be c:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\AcrosyncClient64.
You can actually change it to…
You can find the logs under the directory where the Acrosync executable is installed (normally c:\Program Files (x86)\Acrosync if you installed Acrosync for all users).
/appdata/app.config should work. I ran a small test and it worked as expected. According to the doc:
A pattern may start with '/' which means the pattern will be used to match against the path relative to the local or remote directory
This is a bug in getting the license id for the machine. A new build should fix this bug:
https://acrosync.com/win32/acrosync_installer_win64_1.7_605.exe
Just run the installer and overwrite the existing installation.
Can you try starting the executable in a DOS windows:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Acrosync\AcrosyncClient64.exe or
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Acrosync\AcrosyncClient64.exe"
If that doesn't help, can you create a memory dump file using procdump and the…
PhotoBackup only backs up photos that are not backed up by iCloud. When a photo in iOS is deleted, PhotoBackup doesn't delete the copy on the server.
Not backing up the live photos is a known issue.
(2) Again, this is how incremental snapshots work. If you don't want this then just deselect the incremental snapshots checkbox.
(3) "latest" is just a symlink to the latest snapshot directory. You should have access to the latest snapshot directo…
When it hangs as "Upload starting", can you create a dump file (run Task Manager, select the Acrosync process and right click, then select "Create Dump File") and send me the file for analysis?
(1) Yes, you can use the same RemoteDir in different profiles.
(2) This is how incremental snapshots work. Each snapshot appears to be an independent directory but unchanged files are shared by hardlinks.
They are saved under HKCU/Software/Acrosync/AcrosyncClient/Profile*. If you installed Acrosync for all users then the registry path is under HKLM rather than HKCU.
The tag should be '-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----' or '-----BEGIN DSA PRIVATE KEY-----'. If you select 'Export OpenSSH key' you will get either of these two tags.
'-----BEGIN OPENSSH PRIVATE KEY-----' is created by 'Export OpenSSH key (for new fi…
I don't think these messages were produced by Acrosync. The log messages produced by Acrosync always start with the time and an ID, like '2018/07/19 20:00:06 RSYNC_FINISH Uploaded Y:/: up to date'. And there is no way log messages produced by a pr…
It was designed to produce the least number of log messages (especially in auto upload mode you wouldn't want to see all these start/finish marks). Any reason why these marks are important to you?
This has been fixed in the latest 1.7 build which has been just released. You'll need to run the installer again to be able to remove the service on uninstall.
