The Acrosync interface does not allow to select a local directory as destination unless entering a Server with Username and Password. Would I have to set up a local server?
I configured Acrosync to create hourly incremental snapshots with hardlinks. I noticed that after 24h all hourly snapshots are deleted except the last one which his kept as a daily backup. Similarly, after a couple of weeks (4?) only the latest weekly snapshot is kept and the rest is removed.

This is a good thing for most cases I guess, because it minimizes the space used by temporary files that were not excluded and in the long run I consider weekly snapshots more than sufficient.

My question is this: I would prefer to only keep monthly or even quarterly backups after a while. Will Acrosync do this or would I have to set that up on the server side? Is there a hidden option to control that behaviour?

And by the way: This piece of software is awesome, I really appreciate it.

I have a setup as follows -

1 x OVH Server 100Mb upload/ 100Mb download
2 x RN104 NAS 10Mb upload / 50Mb download (separate locations internet speed same)
1 x RN102 NAS 1Mb upload / 5Mb download

Centralized backups are made to the OVH server daily, each set of drawings is around 5GB and there are nearly 70 separate folders on the OVH server. Currently the OVH server is uploading at only 204Kbp/s to the RN102, I have checked both ends for a bottleneck and am unable to find any obvious bottlenecks. With the speed it is estimating that the backup will take 70 Hours by which time the backup will be out of date.

Is there any way that Acrosync can simultaneously send to several servers at once instead of one at a time? I will continue to see what I can do about the speed issue to try and find the bottleneck in the meantime.

I'm finding the current method of specifying a list of files/dirs to include/exclude to be difficult to configure how I would like. For example, I have a large directory hierarchy and I want to exclude all directories that are called 'log' except for two of them. What I've ended up doing is creating one profile that excludes 'log' and another two to specifically sync each of the additional 'log' directories. Maybe there is a better way but I haven't been able to figure it out. I tried putting "/dir1/log /dir2/log" in "include" and "log" in exclude but that deletes everything else. I've read the description here https://acrosync.com/vanilla/index.php?p=/discussion/10/a-quick-guide-to-acrosync-for-windows but it still leaves a couple of questions:

What happens if I have entries in both "include" and "exclude"? The UI allows it but it's not obvious what the behaviour will be,

What happens if two profiles overlap, does that cause a race condition?

I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a GUI to select what directories (and files?) to include/exclude, instead of having to type them in as is required currently. That would really help with user friendliness and ease of configuration though I imagine it's quite a bit of work to implement properly.
